The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has initiated a six-month global webinar series focused on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in radiation medicine, attracting over 3,200 participants worldwide. The series aims to assist medical physicists in safely and effectively implementing AI systems in clinical settings. IAEA officials emphasized the crucial role of medical physicists in the integration process and the need for ongoing education and support. The webinars, featuring experts from various countries, will occur biweekly from October 2025 to April 2026. Participants are expected to promote the ethical and responsible use of AI in healthcare. Additionally, an International Symposium on medical radiation dosimetry will take place in Vienna in October 2026, inviting submissions from professionals in the field.
